Book off your calendars for the first ever
Sea Glass Festival in Ontario, Canada. Kingston, Ontario makes the perfect location to host the first Great Lakes festival – where the St. Lawrence River converges with the Cataraqui River and Lake Ontario, arguably one of the best of the Great Lakes for finding sea, or rather, beach glass
The festival will be open to the public for two days on
Saturday, August 6th to Sunday, August 7th, 2011 from 10:00pm to 5:00pm.
The event will feature several sea glass artists and vendors, sea glass appraisals (by special guest), a shard of the festival contest and special kids only events.
Explore the various vendors that offer beautiful pieces of jewelry, stained glass and other decorative pieces made from sea glass they collected. Sea glass may be found along oceans, bays, rivers or large lakes, these shards have been tumbled and smoothed over time, creating frosted shards of glass.
